Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for performing maintenance tasks specific to the Maintenance Technician Level

I role in a processing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication of machinery.
• Assist in basic troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
• Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
• Comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor promptly.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of mechanical or maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools.

Certifications & Licenses

• Forklift Certification (preferred)
• Lockout/Tagout training
• Tools & Equipment Used
  • Hand tools
  • Grease guns
  • Basic power tools

Work Environment

Work is performed in a refrigerated beef processing plant with exposure to cold temperatures, wet conditions, and noise.

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50 lbs frequently
• Stand/walk for up to 10 hours
• Bend, stoop, kneel

Schedule & Overtime

Shift: As assigned, including weekends; overtime as needed.
