• The Director of Nursing will provide collaborative, strategic, and clinical leadership in accordance with the purpose and values of Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community.
• Collaborate across the organization with a focus on total nursing care for residents; build relationships with physicians and service line leadership; cultivate a culture of respect and responsiveness.
• Oversee ongoing departmental initiatives including nursing strategy, quality, patient care, and patient experience throughout an 81-bed facility.
• Utilize adopted business models to measure metrics and develop processes that ensure delivery of quality, safety, satisfaction, engagement, and fiscal outcomes.
• Lead staffing initiatives including coaching, mentoring, evaluations, and staff retention programs aligned with Avera Health policies.
• Advance key initiatives around alignment of patient needs, outcomes, and compliance and safety with productivity guidelines.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Active RN license is required.
• A minimum of four years of Long-Term Care and/or Skilled Nursing experience is required.

• Avera Mother Joseph Manor Retirement Community, a non-profit nursing and retirement community within Avera Health, offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation.
• 81 beds; located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, near Manor Park.
