St. Francis Indian School, also known as Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc., in St. Francis, SD, is seeking a dynamic K-8 Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher at our school, you will have the opportunity to inspire and empower students to achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create inclusive learning environments
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with various learning challenges
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching license in Special Education
- Experience working with K-8 students with diverse learning needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for serving the needs of students with disabilities
