As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to reduce security-related incidents. You will engage with guests and store teams through clear communication and customer service, while reporting observations and responding to concerns.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to clients and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout sales floor areas, stock areas, entrances, exits, cart bays and the exterior perimeter as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Help to deter theft and other policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activity, and reporting suspicious behavior or hazards to store management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear directions to patrons and assisting with de-escalation until additional help arrives.

+ Complete detailed incident reports, daily activity logs and patrol documentation; communicate observations and follow-up needs to management and/or law enforcement as directed by site procedures.

* + A guard card/license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
