Position: Health & Safety Advisor (Temporary)
Vibe Recruit is recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our client on a 6-month contract based in the Aberdare / Rhigos area. This role will provide professional health and safety guidance and operational support to ensure a safe, legally compliant and risk-aware working environment.

A key focus of the role will be the management, implementation and continuous improvement of DSEAR controls across relevant processes, equipment and facilities.

Location:

Aberdare / Rhigos
Rate: £17.09 per hour /Paid weekly

Hours:

37.5 hours per week

Contract:

6-month contract

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 07::00,Friday: 07::30

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day health and safety advice and support across site operations

Manage and support DSEAR compliance, including implementation and ongoing review

Conduct risk assessments, including DSEAR and COSHH

Support incident investigations and corrective action planning

Carry out safety inspections, audits and compliance checks

Advise on hazardous substances, flammable atmospheres and control measures

Support the development and maintenance of safe systems of work and procedures

Engage with managers, engineers and operational teams to promote best practice

Maintain accurate health and safety documentation

Essential Requirements:

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)

Demonstrable experience working with DSEAR in an operational environment (manufacturing, engineering, chemical or similar)

Strong understanding of hazardous substances and flammable atmospheres

Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits

Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

Desirable:

Experience with in an industrial or manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
