Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are partnering with a leading specialist provider of inclusive education, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Aberdare. This is an exciting opportunity to support children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs in a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated support to students with SEN/SEBD, helping them access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons

* Assist the Class Teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual student needs

* Support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges to ensure a positive and safe learning environment

* Foster inclusive classroom practices that promote confidence, independence, and engagement among pupils

* Supervise and assist pupils during classroom activities and breaks, maintaining their well-being and safety

* Contribute to the development and implementation of educational plans and behavioral strategies

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

* Previous experience supporting children with SEMH or other special educational needs (preferred)

* Compassionate, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development

* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

* Strong communication skills and a positive attitude

* Enthusiastic about creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

* Reliable and committed to working full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
