AIS, a global leader in testing services, is expanding its operations within the automotive and energy sectors. To support this growth, AIS is seeking a Senior Technician to contribute to support and deliver testing services in these areas.
What Will You Do As Our Senior Technician- Supporting and leading on routine aspects of technical delivery of the business including involved technical setups, performing complex tests under defined work instructions and follow‑on safe dismantling of associated tests.
- Supporting engineering team collection and dissemination of results including setting up of multiple channel logger systems with various logging requirements, collecting specified data, summarising and sharing using various online platforms (SharePoint, Box and / or client‑defined services).
- Performing data analysis and basic reporting using standard formulas and tools including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word using various data formats including *.CSV, *.MF4 and others.
- Provision of technical support to the engineering teams, including assistance in the development of new technical offerings.
- Active participation in onsite and offsite customer tests and engineering activities as a member of the wider technical team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement processes including design, implementation, and refinement of new product developments, testing and engineering services.
- Actively support a continuous cycle of quality control improvement within these products, testing and engineering services.
- Act as a Health and Safety lead, day to day on site, including maintenance of the documentation processes around safe operation of the facility.
- Deliver annual maintenance and compliance requirements to the facility, including calibrations, safety checks and maintenance of associated registers.
- Experienced in practical test setup, performing and dismantling.
- Experienced with manual and/or machine shop tooling to support practical setups.
- Knowledge of associated electronics, test equipment and logging systems.
- Experienced in performing data analysis and software packages associated with data analysis.
- Qualified and experienced on high voltage DC (automotive) systems.
- Knowledgeable with health and safety risks of operational engineering and test facilities.
- Able to effectively prioritise in accordance with set deadlines.
- Salary up to £38,000.00 per annum depending on experience.
- Discretionary annual bonus scheme of up to 15%.
