FT Fishing Team Lead at Bass Pro Shops

Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, the Retail Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful day‑to‑day operation of a retail store department.

• Provide supervision and leadership to the team members of the department, in partnership with the manager.
• Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution.
• Foster the growth and development of team members by training various standard operating procedures and processes.
• Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the assigned department.
• Provide legendary customer service by identifying and evaluating customers’ needs, and making product recommendations based on this analysis.
• Promote company programs to team members and customers.
• Maintain visual presentation standards including in‑store signage, merchandise recovering/front‑facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed.
• Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope.
• Assist in other areas of the store when business needs dictate.

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment is preferred.
• Open availability – this position will be required to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as on weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs.
• Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customers’ expectations.
• Ability to use good judgment and logic.
• Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle.
• Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s specific products is an asset.

$20.00 - $22.75 per hour.
