Nirvair & Litt Farm Ltd. Located at 39330/39452 S Parallel Rd, Abbotsford, BC V3G 2T4 and 41575 No 4 Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2R 0M7, is looking for 1 Farm Supervisor. This is a year-round position.
Duties- Check and monitor for pests such as worms, caterpillars, snails, etc.
- Coordinate and supervise the farm operation.
- Train farm workers to perform specific tasks
- Prepare reports and weigh the fruit to be sold
- Check irrigation lines, schedule tasks to be performed depending on the season.
- Identify poorly drained areas
- Ability to take the necessary steps to improve the efficiency of the farm operation.
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
- Minimum 1-year experience as a farm supervisor or training in agriculture is required
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to work:
- Long hours, early mornings, and weekends if required.
- Outdoors in ALL weather conditions. Heavy lifting required.
Salary offered: $19.00/hr. for 40 hours/week.
