Position: Packer

Reports to: Lead Hand / Supervisor

SHIFT Times: Monday to Friday, 3:00am to 11:30am; 2:00am to 10:30am

We are looking for a Packer to join our Production team. Our Packer will be responsible for packaging bread and assisting the slicer as needed. You will also be checking the bread at all stages to ensure quality, keeping your work area clean, and communicating well with your team members to ensure a proper workflow.

You will be a great fit if you are a friendly and hardworking team player who is eager to take on new challenges. This role is physically demanding as you will be working in a fast-paced environment that involves repetitive tasks, bending, crouching, lifting, and standing for extended periods. However, this gives you the opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive environment where your work has a direct and positive impact on how we create our products.

What you will do…

• Fill trays, make boxes, and stack product
• Count accurately, fill out paperwork, and record numbers correctly
• Ensure there are enough pans, racks, and other tools for the task
• Communicate any problems to appropriate stakeholders including supervisors, maintenance, and more
• Follow all given instructions including work and safety procedures or standards

Other…

• You are able to work flexible shifts, as the job requires
• Package bread coming out from the slicer and assist slicer when necessary
• Fill trays, make boxes, and stack product
• Count accurately, fill out paperwork and record numbers accurately
• Ensure there are enough pans, racks, and other tools for the task
• MUST Communicate any problems with the Supervisor
• Communicate with Maintenance any problems with equipment
• Communicate with other areas to ensure a proper workflow
• Follow directions given by Lead Hand or Supervisor
• Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, SOPs and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
• Check the bread at all stages to ensure quality is being met
• Keep work area clean and organized throughout the shift
• Other duties as assigned
