Associate Wealth Advisor / Financial Planner – RBC Dominion Securities
Join the Abbotsford branch to help clients thrive and communities prosper. We seek a talented, self‑directed individual with a growth‑ and goals‑oriented mindset to work with our Investment Advisor team, providing proactive advice and support to clients.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Investment Advisor to facilitate meetings and events, determine agendas, prepare documentation, and attend client meetings.
- Provide proactive client service, liaising with various departments for smooth solutions.
- Respond to client account inquiries and manage follow‑ups.
- Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation exercises, and client service plans.
- Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals across the existing client base.
- Support the advisory team with new client acquisition.
- Nurture and manage relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) and RBC partners.
- Provide trading and portfolio rebalancing support.
- Conduct ongoing research on markets and investments, providing regular updates to the advisory team.
- Coordinate activities with internal Wealth Management specialists, manage documentation, and track progress.
- Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC.
- Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam, CIRE and the Retail Securities Exam.
- 4+ years of professional experience within the investment industry.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation.
- Financial Planning experience working with HNW clients.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Highly developed client service skills.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs. The expected base salary range is $40,000 – $55,000. The position may be eligible for a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5× base salary.
