We are actively seeking a Mechanical Technologist Student that will support the infrastructure project teams by assisting with the design, review, and documentation of mechanical systems across site operations. This role provides hands‑on exposure to drafting, equipment inspections, reliability practices, and project coordination. Working alongside engineers, planners, and contractors, the student will help ensure mechanical designs, field work, and project deliverables are completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with industry standards.
This role will be based out of our Cote Gold Mine Site (Gogama, ON), on a rotational schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with preparing and updating mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment layouts using CAD tools.
  • Support field verification activities by gathering measurements, documenting equipment conditions, and confirming drawing accuracy.
  • Help develop material take‑offs, bills of materials, and other technical documents required for project execution.
  • Participate in reliability and maintenance tasks such as observing equipment performance, reviewing maintenance records, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Assist with design reviews, installation oversight, and commissioning support for mechanical systems and project scopes.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including revision logs, technical notes, and turnover packages.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and contractors to clarify design intent and support efficient project execution.
  • Follow all site safety standards, participate in hazard assessments, and support safe work practices during field activities.
Qualifications Key Skills & Knowledge:

Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary Mechanical Engineering Technology program (2‑ or 3‑year college diploma).

Skills & Strengths, We Value:
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic design/drafting skills (comfortable supporting drawings, layouts, and equipment reviews).
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy when updating drawings, logs, and project files.
  • Effective teamwork and communication to collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and contractors.

Salary Range: $20.00-$24.00 an hour
