French Immersion - Kindergarten

The starting annual salary for this full‑time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

École Margaret Stenersen Elementary is a dual‑track French Immersion and English school and are proud to offer many learning and extra‑curricular opportunities for our students.

If there are teacher absences prior to March 30, 2026, the successful applicant is the priority TTOC. The position start date is subject to change.

• Elementary teacher training with major/minor in French
• Major practicum work in French Immersion at the Primary level
• Experience teaching French Immersion at the Primary level
• Eligible for B.C. Certification
• Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports

• Ability to demonstrate fluency in written and spoken French, plus a good working knowledge of English
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge of the French Immersion elementary program
• Ability to demonstrate thorough knowledge and recent experience with a balanced literacy program including guided reading and assessment
