Learning Designer​/Author

This contract roles can be located anywhere in Canada and is fully remote.

We are seeking an experienced learning designer to transform complex content into exceptional learning experiences that help organizations accomplish their missions faster. In this role, you will lead end-to-end content deployment projects while managing diverse stakeholder relationships and mentoring team members. You will be responsible for designing engaging, structured courses that leverage AI-powered tools and instructional design best practices to create meaningful learning outcomes.

This position requires someone who can balance multiple simultaneous projects, maintain high quality standards, and foster strong collaboration across cross‑functional teams. You will work closely with clients to understand their goals, analyze learner needs, and deliver comprehensive courses that align with organizational objectives and learning principles.

• Lead content deployment projects from scoping and planning through final delivery
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones across multiple simultaneous courses
• Track project progress, anticipate risks, and ensure deliverables remain on schedule and within scope
• Conduct discovery and migration calls to understand client goals and define project requirements
• Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients and incorporate feedback throughout the project lifecycle
• Coordinate and mentor instructional designers and authors to foster collaboration with subject matter experts and internal teams
• Analyze source material and learner needs to define learning objectives and content strategy
• Design engaging, structured courses and interactive lessons using established templates and learning principles
• Refine, rephrase, and organize content to ensure clarity, conciseness, and alignment with learning outcomes
• Review and quality‑check course drafts and final versions for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards
• Coach authors on instructional design best practices and content quality
• Champion design principles, tools, and organizational ways of working

• Strong instructional design and curriculum development capabilities
• Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and similar platforms for content development
• End‑to‑end project leadership and management abilities

• 2+ years in instructional design, learning design, education, course development, curriculum design, or LMS administration
• Proven track record leading end‑to‑end learning or content projects with multiple simultaneous initiatives
• Direct experience working with clients and cross‑functional teams
• Experience conducting discovery sessions and translating insights into course designs and plans
