The starting annual salary for this full‑time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Job Summary & Responsibilities

Abbotsford Senior Secondary is home to a vibrant and diverse student population of over 1300. We are a growing school that hosts the Integrated Studies Program, International Baccalaureate Program, Soccer Academy, Film and Broadcasting Program, and many more. With over 50 clubs and teams, there is something for every student. We pride ourselves on building and maintaining strong student relationships, connections to the community, and carrying on the traditions of 70 years of Panther Pride.

The successful applicant will teach Physical Health Education & Socials 10.

Education & Experience
  • Teacher training at the Secondary level with major/minor in Kinesiology
  • Major/minor in History or related Social Science
  • Practicum work in Physical Health Education at the Secondary level
  • Experience teaching Physical Health Education and Social Studies at the Secondary level
  • Successfully complete and maintain non‑violent crisis intervention certification
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports
