Palliative Care Physician
Overview
Our team is looking for a compassionate part-time (0.8 FTE) palliative care physician to support a 1-year parental leave located in Abbotsford, BC. This position would commence in November 2024. You will work alongside other palliative care physicians and our multidisciplinary team to provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in our Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) and Holmberg House; and consultation services to acute care and community-based patients.
Responsibilities- Provide Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in the Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) and Holmberg House.
- Provide consultation services to acute care and community-based patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary palliative care team.
- Support Parental Leave coverage and contribute to teaching and program development as needed.
- Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Certification from either the College of Family Physicians of Canada or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Preference for additional training in Palliative Medicine:
- One-year Enhanced Skills residency with the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada; or
- Two-year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.

CompensationAlternative Payment Plan; may be eligible for up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement; MOCAP - On Call Payments.
