Position: Coordinator, Housing Operations

Position Summary

The Coordinator, Housing Operations provides administrative and frontline support for the delivery of student housing services. Working under the direction of the Manager, Housing Operations, the position supports day‑to‑day client service, housing assignments, check‑in/check‑out processes, and front desk operations for UFV’s student housing. The Coordinator performs routine maintenance of housing information systems, prepares standard communications, and processes financial and administrative transactions in accordance with established procedures.

The role focuses on implementing approved processes and providing accurate information to students and campus partners to support a student‑ready housing environment that prioritizes service excellence, inclusion, and community support.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized post‑secondary institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in student housing operations or related roles in property management or hospitality sectors, with exposure to front‑line client service and basic administrative processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and provide day‑to‑day work direction to student staff in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across diverse student and staff populations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proven ability to follow established procedures and recognize when issues need to be escalated.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and tact, and represent the department with professionalism and service excellence.
  • Proficient with standard office software and administrative systems; ability to learn housing‑specific applications and portals.
  • Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), or ability to obtain upon hire.
