Description
The Payroll Admin is responsible for the maintenance of payroll, making any necessary changes to the computerized payroll system, monitoring and complying with applicable legislation, handling employee inquiries and the day‑to‑day administration of the timesheets.
Duties- Administration of payroll including producing payrolls, answering questions, correcting anomalies, performing calculations, data entry, balancing payroll registers, producing manual cheques, producing government and Department (in-house) reports and other related activities.
- Maintaining employee daily timecards (Ramco & Ceridian).
- Reconciling employee benefits (monthly basis).
- Prepare Declaration of Exemption – Employment at a Special Work Site (Per Diem schedule – Seasonal).
- Printing flight pay details for pilots and AMEs.
- Maintaining payroll remittance file.
- Weekly filing.
- Ensure the integrity of the payroll system.
- Identify, review and implement new or changed government regulations.
- Administer apprenticeship paperwork and hourly calculations for the Industry Training Authority.
- Other related duties.

AdditionalSkills & Qualifications
- Experience payroll for trades, unionized environments (strong nice to have).
- Ceridian/Dayforce experience.
- ERP experience.
- Certificate/diploma in bookkeeping, payroll or accounting or equivalent in experience.
- Ability and willingness to learn, inquisitive and asks questions.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail oriented with a focus on results.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Able to act with professionalism.
- Able to clearly and effectively express information and ideas both verbally and in writing.
Entry Level
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Abbotsford, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Abbotsford, BC.
